Chapter #23 Heads or Tails??

Here coming on this chapter of All Smiles 24/7, the 3 topics that will be writing about the successes of being on the radio getting practice, trying to find that special someone and getting into the bible a little bit more.

Radio Live: With still a lot of momentum in being involved with radio continuing to move along; I had the opportunity to debut doing play-by-play call for the women's K-State game (basketball) when they played Texas a few weeks ago. That was a lot fun, I did that with Flores and Eli Anderson. Now I've been doing color commentary for a few games this year for mainly the women's game and only one for the men...this past week I did another play-by-play call when the K-State (women) played Oklahoma State called that one with Dan Page. Last semester including this semester so far I've been able to do a little bit of everything at the radio station on campus (Wildcat 91.9) from board, calling games, even doing some news as well. Wednesday, I did live news on air and did sports updates as well. I still need a some practice with the technical things involved with doing radio but overall I've gotten a lot high praise from classmates and friends about hearing me over the radio. I have made huge strides over the air. And with more practice I will continue to get better with it. I have really enjoyed spending time with all of the guys and just talking about sports.

Hide and Seek: I don't know what to say about romance and all that but in this day age now people are getting engaged quickly than ever. Hey, I'm not saying that it's bad because it's not but I'm like wow, speechless. I rarely talk about this subject but because of Valentine's day this month already passed by I thought that I would just gives some insights on it. I have already like at least 8 people (friends) who are getting married this summer...hmm it might be more than that actually but that's lot...doing all you can for someone special can sometimes be not enough. For the first time ever I was able to give some roses to a good friend of mine hoping for a good result but it just didn't happen the way that I thought it could be. And that is only the short version...it was disappointing because it was my first time ever getting roses for any girl ever and it was heartbreaking. Also being told that you a really good person and then the big moment comes and it doesn't happen it a big downer. I have a lot of girls as friends and which is always ( good but when it's comes to finding that special someone it's been really tough to say the least. I've gotten encouragement from a few people and it's helped getting through and move on, it took me a while to get over sometimes I wonder if i will ever find the "special person"...

Bible Time: Just recently I was in a bible study and discussing about how to reading your bible and not always having your sights set on just being in the New Testament. You got to read the bible all the way through. If you don't read your bible all the way through then your missing out on some of the good stuff. You can skip into different books of the bible but make sure you at least touch base with every single one of them. I recently never read Leviticus; I look at a few chapters of it but I have sat down and actually read the entire book. I have read the first 4 chapters of it so far and it's been good and interesting talking about the different types of offerings. There are not just one which is eye opening.

Chapter #22 Identity

Trying to find who you are in life can be a very important part of your life. People are always looking for some kind of clues to who they as a person. It really doesn't matter if it's you or your best friend or someone else finding the truth of who you are is important. Since transferring over to Manhattan, I realized that I've changed a little bit but not that much. Trying to find my way through the bigger college I realize that the road is tough and it will always be for me. It has never been easy and it will never get easier as time moves on. Last semester was a challenge and I got through that challenge and now I'm getting a lot closer to finishing up college. I just started a new semester and it's only the beginning but I like the start of it. I'm changing some things up as of late like spending a little more time with homework...on the flip side of that I'm beginning to make a few friends that I got to know last year our hanging out a lot more, I mean a lot, a lot haha! True friendships are forming and I'm really enjoying that. As for my first blog post of the year I'm doing it a little different I will talk about 3 major things that are happening going on around me in society or you can say college. Here are 3 major things for this chapter (Identity).

Denver: About an month and a half ago, I went back to Denver, CO for my second trip to the Denver Christmas Conference. It was another great experience going back up there. Seeing some of the summer project guys up there and reuniting with them for a week was awesome! On the other side of the coin, I got to meet plenty of new faces and make some new friends along the way that was good to do that. The speakers were really good again. Every message that was spoken were right on target to what I needed to strengthen my relationship with God each and every day. I also started reading the book of Genesis over the Christmas break as well so it was nice getting into the word.

Radio Man: Radio has been one awesome experience after another. Like I have never done radio type stuff before this school year. I have told that to a lot of people already but I'm with the sports department for the college station on campus and we do games and other things away from the action itself. I actually did color commentary for the Oklahoma game my first Men's game. Before that I did a couple Women's games already and I plan on doing a couple more games as the Big 12 schedule begins to kind of wind down. I'm getting a lot of good comments from staff and classmates that I'm doing a great job with all. A lot of people say that I have that radio voice and it's pretty good...hmm

Changes?? There might a change coming up or two, lol. Some of my friends that I talked to know what I'm talking about. I'm just getting back in to the whole blogging thing this will be short though. More coming up in the next post about if not or if I did change something.
