Chapter #42: Cats' Get Back on Winning Track

West Virginia

The K-State women's volleyball team was back in action again on Wednesday night travel all the way to Morgantown to take on the Mountaineers a few days after the football team lead by Heisman frontrunner Collin Klein just ran through the football team did. And Kansas State took care of business like the football team did by sweeping West Virginia in striaght sets 25-15, 25-16, and 25-19. It is the Wildcats 15th sweep this season led by Lilla Porubek who had a career night with 4 aces. Courtney Traxson continued her excellent play adding in 8 kills. Alex Muff on the defensive side had 6 total blocks and five assists along with it. And, Kaitlynn Pelger had five blocks. Cats' started hot and pretty much never slowed down against West Virginia. Last weekend the Wildcats defeated the Red Raiders and now winners of two striaght games. On Saturday, K-State returns to Ahearn Fieldhouse to take on the Baylor Bears at 7pm. Cats are now 19-3 on year and 6-3 in Big 12 conference play.
