I'm finally into the semester now, it been super busy so far. Haven't had a lot of time to post blogs but I don't posts too many anyway. Here's 3 topics that I want to share with you for this week's blog...a short summary, lol
Softball: This started last semester, but I'm playing softball for my church that I go to while I'm at Kansas State it's called Manhattan Church of Christ. I got basically recruited by one of my good friends and the rest is in the books. I play with a lot of the guys who go to church and it's been fun actually to play a full schedule this fall with the guys I got to know from last year. Matt, Joseph, and Gene those are just some of the guys that I play with every Monday night for the next few weeks. For the exception of one game we have been really competitive. And yes, as I said earlier I think that I've enjoy playing softball it's a little different from baseball but I'm using the skills that God has given me to go and help these guys try to win some of the rest of the games. It all about having fun.
121: This is a new group that I sort of joined late last semester and coming in to this semester I have been more a part of this group which was called the "Prayer Group" now change to "121". That actually stands for Romans 12:1- Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. This verse right here is all about doing the things that we do on a regular basis whether it's walking, eating, having conversation with someone, etc. Doing these things to honor God every single day of your life. Being with this group I have learned a quite a bit already and have new friendships with the group as well. I'm not going to single anyone out on this one. This from me is a shout out to everyone in the group for making it happen and continuing on their walks with Christ. It's been a blessing to be apart of this group and I looking to building deeper relationships with the friends that I have in this group.
Decision on Getting Baptize: This is something thought about doing since late July-August during project in Alaska. God has been speaking about this and I finally made the decision to get baptize. I was really close to doing this up there but in my heart in didn't real fell right to it in Juneau. God spoke and he wants me to get baptize in Manhattan in front of church family and friends that have made it happen. Without this community who knows where I would headed. I will talk about that more during my baptism which it well be on October 9 3:00pm. Brian Cobb will do the honors and I'm planning on telling my adventurous journey. This is my decision and I'm looking forward to.
